It’s only recently that autism and other behavioural conditions have begun to receive the attention they deserve. Research into these conditions is increasing and new treatment options and techniques are beginning to emerge. Behavioural science program prepare students for roles in the behavioural science field, as counsellors and consultants for clients who suffer from any number of behavioural conditions. Behavioural science programs focus on teaching cognitive behaviour therapy and counselling to help treat a number of conditions, from kids acting out in class to people recovering from brain injuries and more. Students will study developmental psychopathology, behavioural assessment, counselling, intervention techniques and more to help understand and analyze various behavioural conditions and also to prepare for volatile or difficult work situations.
